The Sram Roam 30 26-inch Rear Mountain Bike Wheel is ideal for cross country mountain bikers who appreciate a lightweight wheel that doesn't run short on strength. Those who are still running the trusty 26-inch wheels of yesteryear will appreciate Sram's tried and true wheel technology has trickled down to the out-of-date but still relevant wheel size. Easy to set up and UST-compatible as it is, you'll be lucky to find a nicer 26-inch mountain bike wheel. Sram's Taper Core rim profile adds material to high-stress areas, while thinning other areas of the rim to save weight. The result is the best possible strength-to-weight ratio on the trail. Sram wheels are designed as a system - the rim, spokes, and hub all complement each other - and you will be forgoing shoddy wheel builds. The Double Decker rear hub rotates on watertight and long lasting sealed cartridge bearings, and has mounts for 6-bolt rotors. Unique to all Sram wheels, including the Roam 30 rear, are straight-pull, double-butted steel Solo spokes that arereplaceable without having to remove the rotor, cassette, or adjacent spokes. Coupled with the asymmetrical rim profile, the Solo spokes help make this 26-inch rear wheel strong and stiff, yet well balanced and long lasting.
